Show A. N. TAYLOR C. C. PRESIDENT ARTHUlt N. TAYLOR. . i Arthur N. Taylor was elected president of the Provo Chamber of Commerce by the board of directors at the meeting in Sutton Cafe Tuesday Tues-day noon. Mr. Taylor succeeds the late John S. Smith as president. H. Aldous Divon was elected director, di-rector, taking the place made vacant va-cant by Mr. Smith's death. The names of Thomas F. Pierpont and O. K. Hansen were suggested as representatives on the Steel Day general committee and one of these will be the Steel Day speaker for Utah county. Other speakers will be President W. E. Creed of the Columbia Col-umbia Steel corporation and Governor Gov-ernor Charles R. Mabey. Mr. Hinckley reported the meeting meet-ing in Salt Lake at the Steel Day committees. Mr. Pierpont brought up the matter mat-ter of unpaid notes given in the Provo Springville campaign to purchase pur-chase the site for the steel plant. He said about 75 per cent of the notes had been paid, that others had refused payment. "I for one would not want to be near the Stool Day celebration if wo had not made good our word to the Columbia Stool to turn over the jplantsite free."
