Show Thursday, December Civic Center TV Fare Meets Group Members of the Kearns Civic Study Group met Monday at the Water Department offices. Chairman William G. Petusky, Bell Telephone to present cTwas the Night Before ' chairman of the group, outlined plans and the purpose of the group. Miss Eva Handcock from the Community Welfare Department and Mrs. Elizabeth McDonald, executive director of the YWCA, explained possible participation of their groups in this plan. Miss Handcock explained a number of services were now being provided to the people of Kearns by having them drive into Salt Lake City. Mrs. McDonald explained the YWCA provided supervision but the actual programs and other costs would have to be handled by the community. Mr. Petusky requested the group to contact residents of Kearns in an effort to obtain what the people want most in a Community Center Building, the financing of such a project and to what extent such a building would be used. 1 Page 7 THE VALLEY VIEW NEWS 15, 1960 The popular and tradition music of Christmas will be presented in Twas the Night Before, on the Bell Telephone Hour over NBC-TFriday, Dec. 23, 7 p.m. The hour-lon- g colorcast will be devoted to Christmas songs and carols and a ballet of the winter season.
