Show HUNTINGTON 4 - The past week has been a busy one at our tithing office. The bishop has been holding forth there and the citizens citi-zens have flocked there to see how their accounts stood. Many of them have very creditable ones. This may prove to be the banner year for quantity quan-tity of tithes in the history of this ward. The sick of the town are all on the improve. Wm. Stalworthy and wife of Idaho have been here for a couple of weeks visiting Mr. Stalworthy's sisters, Mrs. W. J. Green and Mrs. W. A. Guymon jr., and a host of old-time friends as he was a resident here some twelve years back. He is at present engaged-in engaged-in farming and sheep-raising in Idaho. Our schools all convened on Wednesday Wed-nesday morning, the teachers talking about rounding up their charges from the highways and hedges after the holidays and gathering them into the fold. We had two good full dances Tuesday Tues-day eve besides a picture show, so we were very busy that night. The holidays holi-days have passed off very quietly didn't even hear of a wagon getting up-turned something rather uncommon uncom-mon for Xmas. The holiday visiting also seems to have been much enjoyed. We had an old-time party the other evening and a nice crowd of those whose "walking" days are over gathered gath-ered for the event. They danced quadrilles and reels, with an occasional occasion-al waltz interspersed. All appeared -to have a nice time, and on the coming Thursday evening they will try it a-, iain this time under the auspices of the Relief society. ' |
