Show FIRE DAMAGES HOTEL MARIE Fire broke out in t-he Marie Hotel Saturday night about ten o'clock. Some young ladies returning from the Kinema Theatre saw the light in the south window and gave the alarm. The fire department soon responded to the call and put out the blaze before it gained much headway. The blaze started in a vacant va-cant room near the South East corner of the building on the second floor. ' It is not known just how it started, but a five gallon can containing some kcrosiue was found in' this room, by Sheriff Sanderson, Sander-son, w ho looked over the build-ing build-ing Sunday morning. The building is owned by Ole Hansen of this city. Marie Frandsen has been running the hotel during the past few years. Very little damage was done by the fire, but Marie has discontinued dis-continued serving meals at the place. . . |
