Madson, a prominent prom-inent business man .arid wool grower of Sanpete and Carbon counties, died at an early hour Wednesday morning at his home in Scofield from heart failure. Mrs. Mad sen had arisen early and after preparing prepar-ing breakfast went to call Mr. Madson and found him dead in bed. Mr. Madsen was born in Mt. Pleasant, June 18, 1871, the ' son of pioneer parents, Andrew and Johanna Madsen. He was married four years ago to Miss Xellie Xorris of Mt. Pleasant, who with a son, Anthon, and a daughter Anna, survive him. lie is also survived by two brothers, A. C. Madsen of Mt. Pleasant, and X'eil M. Madsen of Price, and a sister, Mrs. S. 1). Longsdorf of Mt. Pleasant. Mr. Madsen has been active in political affairs in Carbon county, having represented this county in the state legislature legisla-ture as senator in 1917. He dso served as game and fish . warden for several years, and-has and-has held many civic offices. Funeral services were held for Mr. Madsen at Scofield Thursday evening. The body' arrived in Mt. Pleasant this afternoon and services will be held here in the Xorth ward chapel Saturday at two o'clock p. m. Interment will be in the Mt. Pleasant cemetery. |
