To Whom it m:iy concern: Notice is hereby priven that the State of Utah has filed in this oihee a list, No. 1 , of lands selected by the said State for the establishment establish-ment aud maintenance of a Deaf and Dnmb Asylum, under Sec. I'3 of the Act of Conpress apin-oved July 10, 1814. The following tract, embi'aced in said list, is in a township contain-in contain-in 2: mineral claims of record, viz : The west half of the northeast quarter of Section eleven, in Township forty-one, south, and of lianpre, thirteen, west, Salt Lake Base and Meridian. A copy of said list, so far as it relates to said tract, by descriptive subdivisions, has been conspicuously posted in this ofiice for inspection inspec-tion by any person interested, and by the public pub-lic generally. Within the next sixty days following the date of this notice, under departmental instructions of Nov. 27, 18, (23 L. D.. 1511), protests or contests con-tests against the claim of the State to said tract above described, on the pround that the same is more valuable for mineral than for agricultural purposes, v,-ill be received and noted for report to the CScneral Land Office at Washington, D. C. Failure so to protest oreon-test oreon-test within the time specilied will be considered sufficient evidence of the non-mineral character char-acter of said tract, the selection thereof beinp-otherwise beinp-otherwise free from obieetkm. will bp recom. mended for approval.
