This let- H1 Jfii!fH ter tells of Mr- Cleveland's former law partners aud business as an answer to our assertion that he could not make a living in the practice of his profession. We can bring that matter home by asking a simple question: Is it possible to conceive of Hon. Parley Williams, Hon. Thomas Marshall, Col. El-US, El-US, Hon W. H. Dickson or any other leading attorney at-torney in this oity giving up his profession to become a candidate for Sheriff of' Salt Lake county7 The writer thinks the fact that Mr I Cleveland married, his old partner's daughter Is sufficient proof of his social standing in Buffalo. He married his wife when he was President of the United States The story is very straight thai before ho was President his former partner's widow declined the honor of becoming his wife.
