"Make it better than when you got here, in honor of those who were here, and for the benefit of those to come." The Angry Warriors have taken that saying to heart. "Our SatCom and Radio troops have been assisting the deployed communications flight in burying cable around the base, so the cables are not damaged by vehicle and pedestrian traffic," said Lt. Col. Francis Xavier. "There is a huge amount of cable lying around the base and our guys and gals have helped significantly in the clean-u- p process." The whole base benefits from this project in the form of more reliable communications. "Our AGE guys have assisted the base civil engineers in maintaining air conditioner units and power generators around the base," Colonel Xavier said. The 729th troops often respond to trouble calls for units other than theirs. They have also helped the Army Patriot and Army RC-1- 2 squadrons and the Air Force Predator squadron with generator maintenance. "Their help with the air conditioning units was especially appreciated during our first month, when daily temperatures often approached 115 degrees," Colonel Xavier said. The Angry Warrior's computercrypto maintained and technical controllers have worked closely with the base communications flight to maintain tactical equipment and troubleshoot faulty circuits all over the base. "The result," said Colonel Xavier, "is more reliable voice and data circuits directly supporting the mission." The 729th Air Control Squadron has left a lasting impression at their deployed Southwest Asia location. Name: Kirbie A. Delmo Editorial Staff Colonel Steve Hoog Captain Angie Chang Tech. Sgt.
