Show Apostle Taylor, three or four years ago, at fl Conference, made a holy show of himself in the fl Tabernacle. He said things for which he should fl have been soundly thrashed by some brother or B father of the ladies he traduced. His friends pal- I iated his performance on the ground that his fl tongue was a sort of loose pulley, and ran faster fl and rattled more when carrying no load than when B compelled to turn ideas. fl In another line Apostle Woodruff seems to be B desirous of emulating his brother apostle, he of B the loose pulley. His harangue last Sunday, and B his lament that the Saints are denied participa- B tion in the government of this city, shows that B he is too indolent and too stupid to keep track B of every-day events. B He ought to be sot apart for a mission to Japan, B and when he sails Heber J. should be cabled to meet him on his arrival, to sing to him and try to rouse him from the stupor that has come over him. Or is that stupidity normal with him? We fear so. But was there not a crossing of the wires that brought the revelation that a chump like him should be called to the apostleship? |
