Show ACCIDENTAL DEATH. A week ago last Saturday a little son of a Mr. Doane of Smithfield was kicked in the head by a horse and fatally injured. On Sunday Doctor Norcross was sent for, but on his arrival he found that the child was beyond the reach of all earthly succor. But in order to prolong life until the parents - who were absent, could return he dressed the wound removing over thirty pieces of the skull bones. This gave the child relief, and he lived until one hour after the arrival of his mother, about one o'clock Sunday morning. |
