Show SEVENTIES' CONFERENCE. The conference of the Cache county quorum of Seventies was held in the Logan Tabernacle, Oct. 31, 1879. President Bell, presiding, called the meeting to order. Presidents P. Cardon and Francis Gunnell were present, likewise a good attendance of representatives from various settlements. The main topic was for the Seventies to educate themselves spiritually. For the prospects were good for large fields in which missionary labor could be performed both at home and abroad, and much of the Spirit of the Lord was required to make their light shine afar off. Very favorable reports were given by the home missionaries from the north, Elders Barrett and ??, who intended to continue their labors as far as the Snake River as soon as conference was over. Business transactions for the quorum were attended to. Meeting was adjourned until the Friday previous to the next quarterly conference in Logan Tabernacle at one o'clock p.m. N. Cowley, Clerk. |
