Show ILowders Assume Management of S. L Motel A picture which appeared in the industrial section of Sunday's Sun-day's Salt Lake Tribune, showed a new motel which has recently been constructed in downtown Salt Lake City. The motel, a 60-unit 60-unit Travelodge at 524 South West Temple will be managed for the builders and owners by a former Parowan resident, Marlon Mar-lon Lowder and his wife, accord -Ing- word given to us by Mr. Lowder's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Lowder of this city. The Lowders, whose only son passed away recently and was brought to Parowan for burial, moved back to Salt Lake City frcm Indianapolis. Ind. recently to take over the new motel upon : its completion. Construction on the $o00,00l) motel started last fall. It is a three story structure containing 60 units and has elevator service for the upper floors. Allied with' the new motel is a swimming pool to serve all guests. The motel Is owned half and half by Travel Lodge Corp of San Diego and the Pearson Bros., Inc. of Richfield, who was Mr. Lowder's employers and business associates prior to his leaving Richfield to live in Indianapolis several yean ago. Mr. and M s. Lowder extend an invitation to friends in this area to call on them when making trips td Salt Lake City. |
