By KEITH DINCVS basketWith a year of ball under his belt and coming off an eighth place finish in the state basketball tournament, the 1975-7basketball season was to say a lot about Roger Reid, his future and the future years of Clearfield basketball. 6 REID HAD suddenly turned around the Clearfield program which except for the last year under Marcus Garrett, had been one of the most respected and feared in the entire state. The mark of a great one, is usually consistency. Could the Falcons repeat with another trip to Salt Lake City in March? Could Reid again lead Clearfield to a winning season and keep the newborn enthusiasm bubbling? YES, FOLKS, he did, and mpre. The squad was loaded with nine seniors, which fit perfectly into Reid's philosophy of playing with seniors, marched through region play with a mark and came out in the end, region champions. The excitement, which Reid seemed to generate, would continue. '75-7- 6 One thing is for sure, they have all left Clearfield High. Reid, after a few more successful seasons with the Falcons. left the school to become a graduate assistant at BY U. NOT TOO long after serv ing under Coach Frank Arnold.
