The tree is donated by Garth Sorenson and was planted in 1963 by Sharon and Add Cummings. . The Sorenson's donated the twin to this tree about 15 yean ago from the other side of their yard, but this (me has 15 mon yean growth. It was taken down by Moon Lake Electric crew and transported and put up through the Rooeevelt American Legion Foot and Keith Goodapeed. It will be decorated this wed by area elementary school students. To add to the holiday spirit, Christmas music will be broadcast via outside speakers downtown by Sathen, Bruce Anderson TV and the Rooeevelt Chamber. Special promotions will also be underway this weekend. At 1 p.m. the annual Turkey drawing win take place at the Doves parking lot. At 4 p.m. the Retail Merchants will hold their drawing at JDJs Gifts and Toys store. Both of these will take place on Saturday. Also going on in the coming weds wfil be residential lighting ami business decoration contests. , Businesses and residents are asked to decorate their homes and businesses for judging between December 15 and December 19.
