In Roosevelt the Christmas Shopping season is just getting going with real vigor. The busiest day of the shopping year is usually the day after Thanksgiving. Downtown merchants are looking at this season as me to help them get through the slow time of the early year and keep a float til summer. Area merchants have seen better days but are hoping for a good shopping season this year. A recent twist in the traditional market of bikes and scooters is the introduction of the (maybe acooter with brakes. JDJ and Sprouse Reiti both aaid the are models they have good inexpensive gifta for anytime of the year and most any age. Sprouae Reiti also has toys and dolls and games for the entire family as well as clothing items, decoration, school and office supplies, small appliances, tools, hardward, paint, accent items, towels, sheets and luggage. The candy at Sprouae Reiti is also alwaya a good item, be it for ' Christmas time or any sweet-tooturge. There is a fine selection of sweets and many other items in the store. They have chairs, TVs, VCRs, toys, tods, guns, camping gear, hunting supplies, fishing and sports items. free-ser- Sharon and Adell Cummings stand Garth Sorenson before the big blue with DeAnn and spruce is taken down from the Sorenson's yard by the Moon Lake crew. Cummings planted the tree in the summer of 1 953 and now the Sorenson's said it was time to remove it as it was getting into the power lines and would have had to have been trimmed at the least.
