Show BY MARKEE HECKENLIABLE 4 Tis the season for bearded and scruffy men. I love good, thick facial hair on guys more than I love many things. But its hard to be a woman and continue wasting money on shaving items such as razors, shaving cream and waxing strips and not be a little envious of the opposite sex. Womens shaving equipment is much more expensive than mens. Guys dont even have to shave after No Shave November is over. But for women, shaving is a societal norm. How is your "No Shave ; November" going? Let us know I vividly remember being 10 years old guy friends I wasnt shaving for a week. The reactions I received both saddened and amused me. From a guy telling me its considered bad hygiene if girls dont shave to the look of horror on my boyfriends face are what made me feel Whether women decide to shave or not, shouldnt be societys job DixieSunNews say le then. I decided to defy what society thinks of my silky, smooth legs last week and tossed my razors in a drawer as I participated in No like women only started to shave because of the appeal it has on men. But the idea that women shave for men is oh so very wrong. Harpers Bazaar gross. i because of the models silky in the magazines or the guystj ing me its gross. I shaved bee. It seems like such a young to age to me now, but all my friends were starting to shave, so I felt like I had to as well. I received my first pack of razors, instructions on how to not give myself a hack job, and have been shaving nearly every week since on Twitter at Society and media have an alarming effect on how women manage themselves, which is nothing new, but its quite saddening that women were influenced to shave because of the way a dress was designed. Despite what role society and the media have on women, theres someone who has just as much power over what you do, and thats yourself and what you think about yourself. After a few days of not shaving, I decided Jo shave again. I felt ashamed at first because I gave up on my quest to defy society, but I realized I didnt shave again Shave November. I wanted to see if I was the only girl participating in No Shave November, so I took to social media and used Twitters handy poll tweets to see what girls thought about not shaving. Out of the 26 people who voted, 58 percent said they love not shaving. I used Face-boo- k as well to see if girls were going to participate in No Shave November, and the majority said they werent because they like the feeling of smooth legs too much. During this experiment, I decided to go around and tell my markeekaeDSN magazine ran an advertisement in May 1915 of a young 99 model in a sleevedress less, posing both arms over her head. It was custom back then to be covered from wrist to ankle, but after that ad was printed, women began shaving their body hair. Ultimately, my slip-lik- e ancestors began shaving because of a stupid ad. Looking back on my favorite titles and gaming habits, Ive realized some of my favorites are famous for not being perfectly polished. As long as the glitches werent gamebreaking, theyve supplied a little bit of humor and charm to the experience. An example that immediately comes to mind is The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim by Bethesda Game Studios. This is by far one of my favorite games. It is, however, a little rough around the edges. Ive gotten stuck in the map, taken advantage of leveling glitches and had minor issues with dragon soul absorption. These bugs havent ruined the game for me, and its because these problems are isolated, and Bethesda does a remarkable job in other areas. My fife and responsibilities have been put on the backbumer this week since the Fallout 4 release. The games reviews have been vastly positive so far. Although there are reports of the game being buggy for some players, I have not experienced anything that has hindered my deep enjoyment of it after days of gameplay. A niche Bethesda fills in a unique way is creating an awesome RPG experience with games like Fallout 4 and Skyrim. No other game studio has done it as well as Bethesda in this area. With massive open worlds, yet an acute attention to the finer details, I find myself falling in love with Bethesda titles more often than any other. So, to celebrate Fallout 4 and studios that focus on making their games not suck, here is a list of reasons why first-pers- Bethesda gets it right. No game-breake- rs at launch Nothing is more frustrating than buying a game, running home excitedly, playing for several hours, and then finding a glitch that makes it impossible to move forward in the storyline. To my knowledge, Bethesda has never released a game with any serious issues. Except for one character in my Fallout 4 game who continued to walk into a car instead of finding a path around it, I havent found a bug that has hindered my storyline progression. non-playab- le Immersive gameplay A big factor I judge a game on is my ability to get completely immersed in it. The purpose of my gaming habit is to be able to temporarily forget the stress and worries of real fife. If hours of gaming go by before I snap back to reality and realize how much time has passed, I call it a successful game. I was elated to find out virtually everything I could ever want to customize in Fallout 4 is customizeable. Weap- ons, face, clothing, surroundings and power armor all have deep customization possibilities, creating a truly unique experience for each player. Bethesda does a great job of creating side missions. In an interview with GamesRadar, one of the producers of Fallout 4 admitted to playing about 400 hours and still finding things he hadnt seen yet. One thing that makes these titles special to me are the side missions that can keep you busy for months, maybe years. The opportunities for deep customization and endless exploration are just more perks. The feels the Fallout series, their cal score really complem the game.
