Tho opening song was, "Through Deepening Trials" tho second selection, selec-tion, "I Need Theo Kvory Hour" nnd "Cod llo With Vou Till Wo Meot Again' Two holos, favorites of Mr. Pnlllips, "Jesus Lover of My Soul" nnd "O, My Father," wero rendered by Mrs. O. L. lKttlnger and Isaac Fox respectively. Tho opening prayer was otferod by Klder A. 11. Andorson and benediction by Christian Knudson. Speakers, both of whom had pralso of the worth and honest and up right character of tho deceased, wero Senator Edward Southwlck and Pros. A. J. Evans. A biographical sketch, which Is produced below, was read by Dr. W. L. Worlton. Interment was In tho Lehl Ccmotery where tho gravo dedication was pronounced pro-nounced by President A. J. Evnns. Biographical Sketch of George C. Phillips. Georgo C. Phillips, son of Charlos and Eliza Nohcs Phillips, was bom in England on October 9, 1859. Ho canto to America and Utah with his parents in 18CC, they having Joined tho Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Latter-day Saints shortly beforo. Tho family settled In Lehl where they remained during tho rest of their lives. Georgo wns married to Martha Evans In tho Endowment Houso on Docombor 2, 1880. To them wero born 12 children, 5 boys nnd 7 girls, nil of whom are living except ono hoy, who died whon n vory young baby. Ills wlfo having died previously Georgo Phillips was married In January 1003 to Allco Laupor Ponioux. To thorn havo boon born C children, II girls nnd 2 hoys, nil of whom nro living. On April G, 1918, ho was suddenly strlckon with paralysis of tho right side. After remaining In bod for about u month ho was ablo to sit up and soon after could walk with help or the uso of a cane. With such aid for a long whllo ho was ablo to go about tho lot and oven about town, though ho could not work. During tho past wintor ho has boon gradually getting woaker. Tho last attack of paralysis, felt on March 17, loft him without tho use of his throat and vocal organs. Slnco that time ho could neither talk nor eat and has spoilt most of his time In bed. Ho died on tho morning of May 4, in the presence of most of his family. He was recently ordained a High Vriest In- tho Church of Jesus Christ of Lattorday Saints of which ho had a tostlmony nnd has ovor boon a faithful faith-ful member. Ho leaves behind him a wlfo, 1G children, 17 grandchildren and 1 stop-daughter, stop-daughter, a child of his second wlfo by hor formor husband.
