Show I 1 FAIRVIEW ! i By Special Correspondence The annual school play was given giv-en Friday evening by the Fair view high school, under direction of Mrs. Ellis Coombs. "The Woman in Black," a three act mystery drama, was presented in the South ward opera house, by the following pupils: pu-pils: June Brady, Zada Howell, Virginia Vir-ginia Sundwall, Vivian Tucker, Leah Le-ah Miner, Beulah Graham, Fawn Housekeeper, Yoland Jensen, Ireta Bench, Follet Sanders, Boyd Olsen, George Vance, Ted Madsen, Donald Tucker, Don Vance, Marvin Mower and Ted Sanderson. Mrs. J. P. Jordan celebrated her 89th birthday anniversary at her home January 22. Dinner was served to a number of her relatives and friends. A very pleasant social afternoon aft-ernoon and evening were enjoyed. Mrs. Tranquilla Stevens Jordan was one of the pioneers of Fairview and has endured all the experiences of pioneering here. She has reared a large family and is still enjoyinf life. Patriarch Jordan Brady has been in poor health the past three months. On Sunday evening the Bishop and his counselors and a number of friends went to his home and held a cottage meeting. A program pro-gram of songs, speeches and music was enjoyed. Patriarch Brady and liis sister sang "Come Let Us A-new." A-new." Thirty-five people attended the meeting. |
