The mother mo-ther was formerly Miss Jean Anderson, And-erson, and they are at present with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George C Anderson. . Charles R. Coombs was taken very ill last Sunday evening and early Monday morning was operated on for appendicitis at the Dice hos-iptal hos-iptal in Moroni. He is reported to be slowly improving and his many friends wish him a speedy recovery. The Elders quorum held a party last Friday evening, when a program pro-gram and banquet were enjoyed, followed fol-lowed by a splendid dance. The stake Primarv is suonsorinn- a dance on Friday evening, February Feb-ruary 9th, which promisej to be a big success. During the dance, drawings will be sold at 10 cents each on a hand-embroidered organdy organ-dy bedspread which will be given to the one holding the lucky num-ter. num-ter. Everyone is invited. A birthday party was given last Wednesday afternoon ac the home of Mr. and Mrs. N. c. Jensen, in honor of his father, J. C. Jensen, on his 80th birthday anniversary. A delicious hot dinner was served at 2 o'clock, after which the time was spent in chatting. A program of songs and readings was given by the children. Those present were. Mr. and Mrs. N. C. Jensen and their sons, Laurel, Vern, Dean and Ray, Mr. and Mrs. Loren Jensen and family, Mrs. Peter Mayer, Mrs. Bertha Ber-tha Christiansen, Mrs. Amy Samuels, Sam-uels, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Jensen of Freedom, and Mr. and Mrs. Emerson Emer-son Foote and-family of Nephi. - wrnest Morgan, son or ivir. ann Mrs. James Morgan of Caldwell, I-daho, I-daho, is visiting with friends and relatives here for a few days. Mrs. Carl Andersen left Monday for Boulder Dam to visit at the home of her son, Mr. and Mrs. Dail Anderson. Mr. and Mrs. Hyrum Anderson and daughter, Irene, spent three days last week with their children, who reside at Standard ville, Utah. President and Mrs. Joseph R. Christiansen received word this week of the arrival of a baby boy at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Gund-erson Gund-erson of Murray, Utah, on January 29th. Mrs. Maggie Frandsen entertained entertain-ed at her birthday dinner last week at htr home, where a number of her relatives and friends were present. pres-ent. Games were played, after which a delicious hot dinner was served. Miss Afton Jensen returned home this week after spending a couple of months at Levan with Mi-, and Mrs. Eugene Powell. Mrs. Mary Hansen returned to Salt Lake Wednesday, where she has employment. |
