Hinckley News , MARGENE HILTON Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Petersen and family made a trip to Milford to get Byron, who had been visiting visit-ing with Douglas Memmott since the Christmas holidays. Moore Christensen and Mr. and Mrs. Lars Bishop, who had their baby blessed. Gevaldine Allred, Irene Lewis, and- Mae Jean Petersen gave a shower for Erma Roundy, who is getting married this month. The guests were Sylvia Bishop, Myrna Petersen, Ramona Robinson, Karen Petersen, . Jolene Torrens, Paula Workman, Marilyn Stanworth, Lula Hilton, Mrs. Glenda Roundy, Mrs. Wash Roundy, Kathryn Ekins, Vel-ma Vel-ma Terry, Verlene Stevens, Carma Wright, Helen Black, Mrs. Lowell Petersen, Mrs. Beulah Black, and Mrs. Lois Wilson. Games were played and very fine refreshments were served. A good time was enjoyed en-joyed by everyone. Mr. and Mrs. Byron Carter and family moved to Tooele recently. Mr. Carter is working there and so his family has gone with him. Mr. and Mrs. Milo Bishop, Mike and Garn, made a trip to California Califor-nia recently. Their son was arriving arriv-ing there from the service. They had a wonderful visit with friends and family. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Hilton and Lula made a trip to Salt Lake Saturday to see their son, Lawrence Law-rence Hilton. Mrs. Lula Cropper has been visiting vis-iting in Salt Lake City with Mr. and Mrs. Donald Mcintosh. Saturday Mrs. Sebrina Ekins and family went to Provo and brought Mrs. CroDepr back with them. The little Uew Year was surely godd to many people in town, at least it seems so with the many new cars around. Don Spencer, Harold Spencer, Jack Spencer, Milo Bishp and families all have new cars. Congratuations. Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Stewart and children from Pleasant Grove were weekend visitors in the home of Mr. and Mrs. George Stewart. Don Morris, Sheldon Christensen and Hugh Judd made a trip to California to take Rogert Wright back to San Francisco where he is stationed. They started last Sun day and arrived home Friday. They visited night life in Reno, went to Alcatraz and saw many other interesting htings. They al so visited with Gary Hardy and Edsel Crafts. Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Hilton and Margene made a trip- to Texas, leaving on the 26th of December and returning January 8. They went to see Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Allred and new baby daughter. Mr. Allred is stationed at Lackland AFB in San Antonio, Texas. Marie Stevens visited with her mother, Mrs. David Stevens and brothers and sisters last weekend. She is working in Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Verne Hansen spent last weekend in Hinckley visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Palmer. Mr. and Mrs. D. H. Palmer from California are visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Palmer in Des-eret Des-eret and Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Palmer in Hinckley. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Reeve spent last Sunday in Fillmore visiting with their son, Tom Reeve and family. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Roberts and children, Mrs. Betty C. Hilton and children, Mr. and Mrs. Bud Ross and children from McGill, Nevada, were visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Hilton and Mr. and Mrs. Dean Hilton. The Advanced Senior class and the Missionary Sunday school class went to Nephi to roller skate. They had the hall rented and much fun was had by all. Pfc. Wayne Ireland, who recently recent-ly completed a course at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, Md., is visiting in Delta with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Ireland. He leaves Jan. 18 to return to Panama Canal, where he is stationed. Mrs. Laura Johnson has gone to Los Angeles to visit her daughter daugh-ter and family, LaPreal and Harold Har-old Ogden, and their new son, born Dec. 30, weighing 8 pounds. . Mrs. Arvilla Swenen entertained the Rook Club in her home last week. Those present were Mrs. Thora Petersen, Mrs. Bertha Love, Mrs. Angie Pratt, Mrs. Helen Shurt liff, Mrs. Lois Wilson, Mrs. May Cropper, Mrs. Belva Morris, Mrs. Ruth Robinson, Mrs. Nina Mech-am, Mech-am, Mrs. Manon Robison, Mrs. Dolpha Bishop,' Mrs. Ruth Talbot, Mrs. Vie Robinson, Mrs. Beryl Hardy, Mrs. Verna Anderson, The guests were Mrs. Ivy Allred, Mrs. Jay Hurst, Ms. Winnie Wright, Mrs. Harriet Spendlove and Mrs. Beulah Black. Mrs. Beryl Hardy Har-dy won the grand slam prize, and Verna Anderson won the low prize.-Evening prize.-Evening was spent playing Rook and a nice lunch was served. We have a new elementary school teacher, Miss Carmen Rose, who is replacing Mrs. Zoe Fowles. We hope she will like it here and enjoy her work. Mrs. George Stewart entertained in honor of Mrs. Joy Christensen of Oak City on her birthday last Thursday night. The evening was spent playnig cards and nice refreshments re-freshments were served.
