Show Postmaster Who Declines to Give Milwaukee, December 24. Among President Presi-dent Cleveland's appointments before the convening of Congress was that of Dr. Ever-hardt, Ever-hardt, as postmaster at Ripon. The. ap- J pointee received his commission, but failed j to qualify before Congress convened. This morning he appeared at the oflice, presented his commission and the discharge of the old postmaster, and demanded that the ofiice be turned over to him'- His demands de-mands were ignored, and he was kicked into the street by the postmaster, who has been in possession for the last four years. The United States Marshal has been telegraphed for, and will go to Bipon this afternoon. |
