Show A Madison (Wis.) dispatch, under date of the 10th inst., says: L. M. Fay, half owner of the Democrat,- published in thii city, was hastily summoned to Washington to-day. It is understood among the well-informed well-informed politicians that Fay's sudden departure de-parture has something to do with his accepting accept-ing the position of Publio Printer in place of S. P. Rounds. Fay is and always has been an out-and-out supporter of Postmaster-General Vilas. He - is 36 years of age, a graduate of the State University, and quite wealthy. . He is not a practical printer, but J has had the management of the Democrat 1 establishment for ten years. j |
