Show Advice to Young Offlce-Seekers. I never yet made or procured an appointment ap-pointment for a , young man of a clerkships clerk-ships which did not in the end prove to be a great injury to him. I look back with regret to my action in this respect. If you get a place, in a little while change will throw you out, and you will be in a worse condition than ever. Now is the time for you to get some employment which will be lasting, and in which you can become skillful, and where you will not be dependent on others. Any duties which will give you your food and clothing cloth-ing are better for a young man than any of the places in the public departments.
