Show Application for Patent. I Notice No. 1317.! Ukited States Lasd Office, 8alt Lake City, Utah, July 25. 1885. VfOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT DEN-i DEN-i nis C. Murphy and the heirs of Samuel Kahn, deceased, whose postofflce address Is t - Salt Lake City, Utah Territory, have made application ap-plication for a United States patent for the Murphy No. 2 mining claim, situate in Little Cottonwood Mining District, Salt Lake county, Utah Territory, couslting of 1,464 linear feet of the lode, and surface ground 100 feet wide, being be-ing Lot No. 172, and described in the field notes aud plat of the official survey on file in this office, with magnetic variation at 18 degrees 10 minutes east, as follows: Commencing at the discovery point of the Murphy No. 2 miulng claim, aud ruuuiug jj 82 dugrees 10 minute W 374 feet to the center of the we. terly eud line of said claim, and thence 8 7 degree 50 minutes E 50 feet to Post No. 1; thence N 7 degrees 50 minutes W 100 feet to Post No. 2: thence N 82 degrees 10 minutes E 1,464 feet to Post No. 3; thence S 7 degrees 50 minutes E 100 feet to Post No 4; thence 3 82 degrees 10 minutes W 1.464 feet to Post No. 1 of the exterior boundary lines of the surface ground of the said mining claim, containing an area of 2.338 acres, after excluding tneret'rom the areas In conflict with the following named mining claims, to wit: Lot 91, Honey Comb, 0.43 acres; Lot 94, Cincinnati, Cincin-nati, 0.002 acres: Lot 138, Alta, 0.23 acres; Lot 143, Ravine, 0.23 acres; aud Lot 168, Real Estate, 0.15 acres. From Post No. 1 U. S. M.M. No. 3 bear 8 72 degrees IS minutes W 1,351.2 feet distant. The said mining claim being of record in the office f the Recorder of said mining district, at Alta, in Salt Lake county, Utah, The nearest known locatlous being the Cincinnati, AlU, Ravine, Calcutta, Honey Comb and Real Estate mining claims. I direct ihat this notice be published in the Salt Lake Evemso Democrat, the newspaper published nearest the said mining claim, for the period of sixty days. H. McMASTER, Register.
