Show That Particular Reporter. The News reporter does not seem to enjoy the reputation of having been seen in consultation with Mr. Griffiths, the party who is said to have been inveigled into pleading guilty to the L. and L. charge a few days since. The reporter was seen talking with Mr. Griffiths and Altornev Moyle, and they were as close together as they could conveniently get. Furthermore, that same reporter was heard to ask Griffiths where "the Democrat got its. information." The group lowered their- tones almost to a whisper on the approach of the party who saw them in this little tete-a-tete, but did not disperse until some few minutes later. Mr. Moyle is too honorable to deny this. The News reporter should not writhe so terriblv under the reproach of being in Mr. Griffiths' company, for the latter is represented as being a Seventy in good standing. |
