Show IS HE THE EMBEZZLER ? Parties on the fay from Chicago . to Identify Harrison. There have been very few developments develop-ments in the case of Edward Harrison, alias Henderson, alias Brown, etc., etc., who was taken into custody by Marshal Ireland on Sunday charged with tfie em bezzlement of $7,000 from the American Express Company, but there are sufficient suffi-cient evidences pointing to criminal crookedness on the part of the fellow, to render his capture a matter for public j gratitude if even the powerful proofs which identify him as the Canadian embezzler em-bezzler should be brought-into question, which is very doubtful. Those who have observed his conduct and scrutinized his appearance after reading the description as forwarded to Mr. Dooly, unite in the opinion that Harrison is the man wanted in Canada, and Mr. Dooly yesterday telegraphed tele-graphed the facts connected with the arrest ar-rest to Chas. Fargo, of the express company com-pany at Chicago, and this morning received re-ceived the following reply : . ' "Chicago, January 11, 1886. J.E.Dooly, Agent: Parties will go at once from here to identify iden-tify party arrested. Hold him. " . .. . Chables Fabgo." It is expected that the parties referred to in the dispatch will arrive here about Thursday evening, when the question of whether Harrison is the right man will be readily settled, as it is understood that the parties enroute can identify him at sight. |
