Samson, of Salt Lake City, Utah, has made application lor a United States patent for the Lena miuin slaim. situate in West Mountain Moun-tain Mima? District, Salt Lake county Utah Territory, consisting of 1.500 linear feet of the lode, and surface ground 194.85 feet wide being Lot J.o. :!62, and described in the field notes aud plat ot the official survey on file in this office, with maguetic variation at 17 d grees east, as follows: Commencing at post No 1, a corner of ths claim, from which U. S. Mineral Min-eral Monument No. 5 bears north 35 degrees 41 minutes west 1,171.6 feet distant, and running thence north 2ti degrees east 725 feet to Post No 2; thence north 51 degrees east 775 feet to Post No. 3: thenco south 55 degrees ea.-it 200 feet to Post No. 4; thence south 51 decrees west 775 feet to Post No. o: thence south 2i degrees wet 725 feet to Post No. 6: thence north 55"degrees west 200 feet to Post No. 1, the place of beginning of exterior bounds, expressly excepting and ex-i ex-i eluding, however, from the above described area so much thereof as is embraced and included in-cluded in the Jordan, Lot 64; Flaestaff Lot 149-Croesus, 149-Croesus, Lot 51: Horace Greely, Lot 142; Last pL'hance, Lot 4S; Last Chance, Lot 157: the area claimed being 5.19 acres. The said minin claim being of record in the office of the Recorder Re-corder of said mining district at Bingham in Salt Lake county. Utah.
