Show HERE'S A PRElTr PAIR. ; Fanny Davenport and Jennie Fields Ileturned to Salt Lake They . . Are "At Home" at the Valley Honse As was expected, the two women, Fanny Fan-ny Davenport and Mrs. S. J. Fields I arrived on last evening's train from Denver. Den-ver. Mrs. Fields wore a disguise that is described as horrible. It consisted of a monstraus "contraband" bonnet, an old calico dress, a faded shawl, brogan shoes, and other wearing apparel fo match. Her hair was combed smooth, a la old woman style. It was an excellent make-up, and if she had been seen anywhere else but in the hands of the officers, her most intimate friends could not have recognized recog-nized her from Adam's off ox. Since the arrival of these two women several attempts at-tempts have been made to interview them, but so far without success. Mrs. Eields is lying sick in bed at the Valley House, where she and Miss Davenport Dav-enport were taken last night, and Dr. Taggart says she is in too precarious a condition to admit of her removal. |
