A Post Washington Washing-ton special outlines the policy of the silver men as denned by ex-Senator Hill, of Colorado, Colo-rado, Congressman Warner, Dana, Horton and others, Hill says: "I have no doubt the President will recommend a suspension of silver coinage. The immediate effect will be to lower the value of Bilver bullion and so render the resumption of silver coinage all the more difficult. Congress will do nothing," noth-ing," eaid the ex-Senator emphatically. "We have strength enough to insure that. Of all the plans that have been proposed for compromise, com-promise, none of them is satisfactory to my mind. The proper policy is to wait. The silver problem will settle itself. With so many uncertainties as to what the future will bring, it seems exceedingly unwise to attempt at this time to finally settle our monetary policy with regard to silver. .1$ vrill not be possible to stop the coinage of silver this session in my judgment.
