Show " Rule No. 34, Gentlemen. The member of the House who made a fruitless attempt to have one of the press expelled from the bar yesterday Las been characterized by all of the members, thus far canvassed, as an "idiotic ass." The Democrat prefers to give the opinion of his brethren rather than to express its own. There has not been a single ex- J pression of approval or sympathy for the fellow's rude and contemptible action, and hereafter he will be regarded as possessed pos-sessed of as little good manners as brains. A very amusing thing in connection with the reading of that Rule 34, was that Col. Godfrey and Judge Dusenberry, supposing that the allusion was for them (no one else appearing to move), got up and walked out with feelings that can be more easily imagined than described. |
