Show MRS HOOPERS FUNERAL A Large Number of Friends Pay Their Last Tribute The funeral of the late Mrs W H Hooper took place at the family residence on North First West street this morning at 11 oclock and was attended by a large number of people of ail classes including many prominent Gentiles as well as Mormons Mor-mons The funeral services were conducted by Bishop Watson of the Nineteenth ward and the music was rendered by the choir of the same ward Joseph Derbidge offered the opening open-ing prayer and was followed by Bishop Whitney who delivered a beautiful discourse His utterance were most appropriate and the selection of words showed excellent judgm nt on the part of the speaker Following him A M Cannon made some brief remarks The remains which lay in a beautiful silvermounted casket covered over with floral tributes were then viewed by those present and were closed from sight forever A long line of carriages followed the hearse to the city cemetery and all that was mortal of Mrs Hooper was laid away by the side of her husband and after a brief and impressive ceremony the grave was filled and the mourners came away I |
