| Show S 5 1 S AX OLDTIME RUNAWAY i A Country Team Trfrns Loose and Has a Picnic on the Streets of Zion j i AU Main street was revived today by I one of those oldtime runaways A fine I double team belonging t Mr Smedley Sessions started from the tithing yard at I about noon and ran to Second South I then west to the corner of First West in i a I just exactly one minute by the Emporium j clock The country chargers being accustomed ac-customed to exercising in a tenacre field I were not satisfied with a 160foot street I I and so they monopolized the whole drive streetcar track and sidewalk and made I teamsters and pedestrians clear the track In turning Walker Bros Bank corner the hind end of the wagon swung round and I took a wheel off of Dr Hamiltons single I carriage which was standing in front of his office They managed to dodge I twenty teams on the course and barely escaped several hitched rigs in front I of Evans Spencers On reaching the corner of West Temple and Second South street the nags turned as to go north but took the sidewalk for a change and rtrktiTimmri T f wiT rnrtrr arnnT until friA I contnuedt 0 Ulvv v corner of First West and Second South was reached when they collided with a garden gate and upset tho wagon which stopped the frightened and tired team A large crowd afoot and with conveyances followed the runaway and were there on time to detach the horses which were uninjured The wagon tongue and cross bar were broken and several smaller damages were done the rigr but no such accidents occurred along the track taken by the careless runaway as frequently loose happen when a frightened team turns |
