Show f I TIic Poirdcrly Journals PITTSBUBO April 26The Chronicle Telegram of this city publishes a lengthy article this afternoon in which it is stated was has been declared by the general officers of the Knights of Labor upon all who are not in accord with the present administration administra-tion To this end it says A move which partakes of the nature of a boycott has been declared by the Powderly administration upon a large number of labor organs throughout the country The late issue of the Journal of United Labor gives official notification of this move against all the labor papers that have not been pronounced in favor of the present general officers The Journal is recognized as the official organ of the Knights of Labor Its contents are only published for the benefit of members of the order and are guarded as carefully from the outside world as even the Powderly seoret circular A copy of the last issue however was seen today It prefaces a list of twentytwo labor papers distributed indifferent in-different parts of the country as follows This list of labor papers we tako pleasure in recommending We will add to the list as occasion may warrant The publication of this announcement is occasioning intense indignation throughout the country but twentytwo are recommended by the general gen-eral officers of the Knights of Labor to members of the order It is practically a boycott on the others It is said that these twentytwo papers have always favored Powderlys administration |
