Show I American Academy of medicine PrrrSBUBa Pa Oct 4The annual meeting meet-ing of the American Academy of Medicine will be held in this city October 12th and 13th About 200 delegates from all parts of the countryare expected to be present One object of the association at its Pittsburg convention will be to endeavor to have passed laws either by States or Congress for the regulation of admission of candidates candi-dates to study medicine and the debarring of physicians who have not graduated from firstclass medical colleges They want the appointment of National or State Boards composed of skillful surgeons and learned physicians to examine candidates for the study of medicine A movement will also be made against third or fourthclass colleges col-leges which the academy says must go or else raise their standard materially The convention will also consider the application applica-tion of homoepathists for admission to the association |
