Show Radio Club provides stress relief Jennifer Kranwinkle Contributing Writer new radio club is making a smash with students this month and its it's all for a good cause For a small contribution contribution contribution contri contri- participants will be able take a sledgehammer to one advisors advisor's minivan The event called the Finals Fender Bender is intended to allow stressed- stressed out students vent their frustrations this time on faculty advisor Paul Bulkley's 1992 Dodge Caravan The event will be beheld beheld beheld held on April 26 25 in the quad at the Redwood Campus It was Bulkley's idea to sacrifice the thevan thevan thevan van for the benefit of the students It is legendary around here because I used to drive it and there used to be pizza boxes in it from months and months and years and decades ago Its It's an old piece of junk van that has miles on it and it needs to be destroyed said Bulkley The students will be able to take a aI I sledgehammer to the van while picturing picturing picturing ing whomever or whatever stresses them out the most The cost will be 1 for thirty seconds of fury The students can also bring a can of food to get an extra thirty seconds of destruction All of the food collected will be donated to the Utah Food Bank Billy Hesterman is a student who is looking forward to this event I have a lot of frustration about finals and Im I'm excited to finally let my aggression out on something said Hesterman The president of the radio club student Paulo Oliveira is very excited about his new gang of radio fanatics The purpose of our club is to get the students and the community involved in radio and be a part of radio to see how howit it is and also to help the community come together through activities and remotes said Oliveira There are a lotof lot lotof lotof of students that dont don't know about our radio station and the radio club is going to be a way for students to get involved Students in the Radio Club will have havea a chance to hang out with DJs DJ's and the Globe Radio staff go to radio stations around the valley as well as attend concerts concerts concerts con con- and help with remotes Students who are interested in hi joining the radio club can call Paul Bulkley at or Nick Burns Bums at Students interested can also mail e-mail the club at or stop by TB |
