Show Use Your Brain and Share a Ride To The Editor Ah Utah Rich in iron rich in irony In the same issue with the headline Portraits in Oil you have a few students voicing their opinions on the parking situation at This section deserved the headline Portraits in Oil more than the art piece If you ever get a chance watch all the cars coming in for morning classes Most have only one person sitting in them Think back folks did you ever pool car-pool to high school Did you ever ride the bus Why did you stop Are you afraid of acting childish Believe me the parade each morning of everyone showing up in their flashy liti little little lit lit- i tle tie whatever is a lot more childish than sharing a ride Are we all so busy that we cannot spare the extra five minutes to ride with a friend This campus draws students students students stu stu- dents from throughout the valley and adjoining counties as well I find it hard to believe that no one can find a ride to match their schedule If nothing else dare to ride the bus I know many students students students stu stu- stu- stu dents do this but more should try Forget the idea that it itis itis itis is too inconvenient You mean to tell me that idling in the southeast parking lot for 15 minutes trying to find a spot is convenient Think folks That's why were we're going to school More shared rides equals fewer cars equals more parking spaces That second seat in your car is like your brain Both are worthless unless you use them Furthermore we all talk about helping the environment and this is a major way to help out Fewer cars equals less garbage pumped into the atmosphere equals fewer killer inversions this winter Daniel Christensen Education Major |
