| Show Dia e r Its It's N gic in Hunchback of Notre erne Dame By Dawna Brana Branagan gan 21 1 s B An age old tale has yet again been remade by those Disney people The Hunchback of Notre Dame presents all the great things that Disney has to offer The great animation the adventure comedy exploding colors and the big name voices behind the characters Tom Hulce was the voice of Quasimodo the hunchback Demi Moore was the voice of Esmeralda Kevin Kline was Phoebus's voice and Hugo one of the gargoyles was done by Jason Alexander and Tony Jay was Frollo's Frollo s voice The movie takes place during the century in Paris where the cathedral of Notre Dame is located As the story goes Judge Claude Frollo is obsessed with ridding the city of Gypsies Frollo orders the gypsy mother of an infant killed on the steps of Notre Dame As penance for his deed he is forced to raise the child Quasimodo as his own Twenty years into the future Quasimodo has become the bell bellringer bellringer bellringer ringer at Notre Dame and is told by Frollo to never leave the bell tower From the tower Quasi watches the crowd below and talks with his gargoyle friends Victor Hugo and Laverne On the day of the Feast of Fools Quasi decides to go down and join the festivities Quasi meets a gypsy dancer Esmeralda and Frollo's new captain of the guard Phoebus Quasi tries to stay unnoticed but ends up being the main attraction The crowd becomes frightened by Quasi and starts to attack Esmeralda comes to his rescue Frollo is upset by the unfortunate turn of events and orders Esmeralda arrested Esmeralda takes refuge in the Notre Dame cathedral where Frollo has trapped her She and Quasi become Quasi helps Esmeralda escape though gu guards are posted outside of y l h It ii I i t tJ t f 1 J J.
