Show To The Editor I have been attending the college for a little over a year and during this time I have had three individualized class class- es Through all my years of attending educational institutions institutions institutions from elementary through three different colleges colleges colleges col col- leges I feel since the adoption adoption adoption tion of individualized learning here at that the time spent in these individualized classes was the biggest waste of time in my life One basic problem I see so far is not the students who attend these classes but the instructors who teach them Why Because there are no controls put on the students to learn only to complete required work Therefore there are no controls put on the instructors to teach Now because of no controls controls controls con con- put on the instructors to teach they dont don't have to prepare a lecture for each day they dont don't have to read the book they have given the students to read finally they dont don't have to even correct the work turned in They just turn the work over to the lab assistant to correct Now with all the free time they have they can flirt with the opposite sex be rude loud and rowdy in the classroom go on more breaks so they dont don't have to answer questions questions questions ques ques- get another job somewhere somewhere somewhere some some- where else so they wont won't be bored here at school and finally they have to pressure the students to hurry so they can start their summer vacations vacations vacations vaca vaca- sooner To conclude I feel all these overpaid nuisances of learning instructors should be fired Out tuition should be lowered and the instructors instructors instructors tors already prepared outline for individualized learning should be turned over to the underpaid lab assistants to carry carryon on for future students to use Finally the credibility of the college should be questioned questioned questioned ques ques- and we should say it itis itis itis is a lower degree of learning Paul C.
