C Todd 1 1 DONATED D 0 0 ON N A ATE I E D 0 Gerie Genie Seamen the lovely wife of Carl Seamen of the Drafting Department was scheduled for I open-heart open surgery last Tuesday morning at the Hospital When she was a she was very ill dl with rheumatic heart disease Theis caused very serious complications which led to heart closed-heart surgery for her in 1962 The operation she had at that time was a high risk operation at 50 percent failure risk Due to increased knowledge and scientific advancement this current operation is 95 percent successful The valve Mitro-valve in her heart heartis is growing shut She also has a aleak aleak aleak leak in another valve During the Tuesday the physicians were to decide whether or not insertion of an artificial valve was needed Her tiny baby girl will be staying with relatives while Mr Seamen will be taking over the mothers mother's duties for the two older children Word got around to the drafting classes taht Mrs Seamen needed at least 10 pints of blood Thirteen people responded to the plea to help the They are Bradley Alvey Richard Everett Kevin Earl Gayle Jensen J.
