Show To The Edit Editor r May 27 1986 Lately a lot is being said around campus and being printed in the school newspaper about the Lesbian Gay Student Union But is anyone hearing what the general student body is saying and how they really feel about it Just whose side do we support Is it that of the or the side that the student Senate is taking The answer to that question is very simple And to find the answer one must only set in the College Center for five minutes I feel that tha the general feeling is as follows The has already been recognized And they are making sure that they are in the spotlight They are area a group that are very unique And they are in no way a majority They are causing a stain on the reputation of this school How we lead our sex lives has nothing to do with education in anyway whatsoever and should not be brought into the picture in anyway shape h pe or ort form Wh Why cant can't this group realize that they have indeed b been n recognized And the general student body does not like it The rest of us keep our sex lives to ourselves and we do not want to know about theirs Is it not a personal matter And should there be bea a group on the campus who's soul focus is on how they lead their sex lives I feel that the answer to this question is NO Let them do as they please And let them sleep with who they want But we as a student body do not want to hear about it EVER If this group is allowed to become a club what will the next one be Who knows I feel that a great amount of thought should be given when this is considered again Who is going to win The majority or this unique small group The outcome of this decision will greatly influence my opinion of If this is a place of education then the has no right to be in the spotlight Sure you can have your club and as you please but consider the rest of the student body the vast majority by far But keep it to yourselves Larry E.
