M n it Brazilian Brazilian Kitchen For Gala Fundraiser f i. i i On Saturday March 12 a ai 1 i Gourmet Gala was held at the Sheraton Triad Hotel as a fund raiser for the March of Dimes As part of th the nights events selected Valley interior designers designed 8 x 8 kitchens for the attendees enjoy enjoyment ent and for various celebrities to cook r their food specialties Gary Collins of Hour Magazine was the Master of Ceremonies Barry Rushton Utah Technical Continuing College Education Interior Design instructor was selected to design one of these kitchens He and the students in his interior design class designed a refreshing exotic Brazilian kitchen t Jim Mills of PM Magazine and Craig L fro t Clyde of Channel 20 were the celebrity chefs in kitchen Jim and Craig prepared Shrimp They both said the kitchen with its stucco walls straw floor colorful parrots and numerous plants was one of best designed kitchens they saw The gourmet kitchens were part of the reception that began at pm p.m. A plate dinner followed at pm p.m. The reception raised about for the he March of Dimes to fight birth birt defects Barry B rry Rushton Tammy Chavez student chairperson and the Continuing Education interior design class should be proud of their involvement in this prestigious event and of the fine effort they displayed |
