Show Utah Tech's Circle K is Busy by Kevin Riley Intramural Assistant Utah T Tech's ch's Circle K club has been busy this year The club a branch of Kiwanis International has completed on the average one service project and one fund raiser a month The service projects have included a Halloween party for the day care center along with a visit from the Easter Bunny thanks to club member Pat Stevenson Other service projects include a dance for the handicapped handicapped handicapped handi handi- capped at the Columbus Community Center Sub for Santa entertainment at the Hospital for children and working with other clubs on c campus to raise for the arthritis foundation Circle K also was involved in working working work work- rk ing in the retired senior volunteer program banquet the recent walkathon walkathon walkathon walka- walka thon and the special Olympics at the University of Utah Our fund raisers are well known on Utah Tech's campus especially our hot dog sales These sales provide the major bulk of olour our funds Coming events include more hotdog hot hotdog hotdog dog sales a bake sale car wash and the operation of the concession stand at the rodeo on the 13 and of May Yes the Circle K club is going strong this year yet we could use more members If you would like to join us this year or at the beginning of the next school year meet with us each Tuesday at 1130 in the college centers center's senate chambers Our club recently returned from our Circle K district convention in n Park J City We are planning to attend ll the Ifie i international n l' l convention in Atlanta Georgia on the thru the of August Join us in working together for a better tomorrow |
