Show 1951 financial statement of san juan charter the san juan county chapter of the national foundation for infantile paralysis spent to assist a total of 5 polio cases last year it was revealed today by mrs demar perkins chapter chairman making public the 1951 financial report of barton lyman chapter treasurer mrs perkins declared that services made possible through funds raised in the 1951 march of dimes underlined the need for a successful 1952 drive the record of what has been done makes us all eager to continue and to expand this work as needed she said unfortunately even it if we had no cases of infantile paralysis in our county in 1952 there remains much to be done for patients stricken in 1951 all the patients aided in 1951 were new ones the toll of polio continues on into the next year or years the report shows that was expended for hospitalization of polio patients whose families ami lies could not afford full cost of care themselves the sum of 2110 or 03 of the chapter funds went for administrative istra tive costs the san juan C county anty march of Dimes last year raised 90 of which boli 50 was sent to national headquarters for its scientific research and pr professional ofes education programs as well as emergency aid to chap ers the national office sup pa aliments alc 0 ments local funds when high incidence wipes out local resources the chapter chapt r begins 19 52 with in unpaid bills |
