Show funds sent by the national infantile tile paralysis foundation to san juan county chapter to help pay for the care of local patients a check for has been received by the san juan county chapter of the national foundation for infantile paralysis it was announced today by mrs helen perkins chapter chairman she disclosed that this is one of many throughout the nation which have exhausted their march of dimes funds during the current polio season and have asked for and received national tid sid she said chapter funds were committed for the payment of overdue hospital bills incurred last year the chairman explained that march of dimes funds are divided evenly between the county chapter and national headquarters of the national dounda con on locally retained funds are devoted to patient care those allocated to national headquarters support vast scientific research and professional education programs and provide assistance si to chapters whose funds have become exhausted by aid to patients during high incidence of the disease at present san juan county chapter is providing funds for the cure in whole or in part to one patient stricken in previous years 1800 was sent to the national foundation in 1951 from the san juan county chapter for emergency funds |
