Show re reevaluation evaluation program slated at the regular monthly meeting cf the board of county commissioners ners tuesday mr roscoe E hammond and mr R C of the state tax commission met with them to discuss the proposed reevaluation evaluation re program of 1 farm lands in the couty it was decided that the work would begin on the of the month the prime purpose of this survey will be to place an equitable and uniformly fair value on all rural lands in the couty and to make sure that all improved lands are so assessed in the tax roll it is estimated that even if the value of the land is not raised there wil be enough additional revenue derived from the survey because of improved lands being added to the roll to offset the co cort t of the survey mr is the tax commis dionis rural land expert and has ha conducted several such surveys in the coaties of the state his plan is to get the tha services of several local men who are acquainted with the location and nature of the farm properties in each locality loc aliey they will determine the best farm property and frore this they will grade all other ether sur rounding farms taking into consideration the quality of the so soil the slope of the land the accas sahi liv to ohp hiah the fro frej hazard and other factors that affect their value whon th the work is iq the county will have for the ferstl first time in its history a complete I 1 record of all farms in the counte all farms will be properly described as to the different classifications of ground on them and ahr value pl pi iced ced on them will br bf more nearly ne arly fair than at any previous time this will make the th assessors asses sores job considerably less difficult and at the same time will enable him to do a more olete i ob iob than has been done in the past |
