Show monticello engages manager alabag ger it his has just been announced that mrs vera foy who has served d the town for five and one half years four of which as thi th official town clerk has just resigned effective december 1 and oden proctor has been appointed to a at t as manager of the municipally owned utilities and all the ordinances as well as to assume the aties enties as clerk occasions rr Mrs foy has asked on several occasions acca to have her resignation accepted tut but because of the installation stal lation of the sewer and her familiarity with the affairs of the town she has abeen persuaded to stay on she intends to spend some time with her daughter in san fransisco and will generally enjoy the freedom of calling all ail her time her own oden proctor has just recently installed a new set of books for the town which will give a much better picture of the overall picture of the towns business he is a certified public accountant and will take over his new duties with the attitude that he will be able to render the town a real service and there is little doubt that he will since he has a broad J a background c around g of experience in the ie lina gerial al and accounting field iipp under the new ordinances enacted for the purpose of getting finances for the sewer it is mandatory that the town employ such a manager who will be TP personally r responsible for the collection of the light water and sewer accounts as well vell as administer the affairs of the town generally acting of course under the direction of the board of trustees the new setup set up in the town has been given so much ballyhoo that people are perhaps more conscious of it than formerly and will vill aas easer ly watch the developments F ever ver one knows that the small stanl nl that is paid to the president ard other me birs of the board of trustees will not nearly coennen sate for the time and efort that they will have to spend thir real remuneration will be the satisfaction of having served the community to the best of their ability likewise the aid mr proctor is not sufficient t ti justifiably ly spend a great deal of time for the town he too will r rp working in a measure out of a sense of civic interest and th opportunity to serve if he dos s the job well he will earn the gratful of the citizens of the town whose money will pay off the tremendous indebtedness that the to town in has assumed |
