| Show chapter delegates will attend regional conference four delegates from the san juan county red cross chapter will attend a regional conference of 44 chapters at tile the hotel utah salt lake city on feb 12 to discuss 1948 march fund campaign plans and the needs of the national organization in the year ahead mrs claude foy chairman announced today local chapter officials planning to attend the conference include ralph robson new chapter chairman ma n clement johnson fund chairman for the county S stanley martineau fund chairman foreland for bland 1 ing and mrs airs martineau new chairman for the bland blanding ing branch the conference will be attended by james T nicholson red cross general mana manager ger and vice president f from rom washington D C ramone S eaton R red ed cross vice president and manager of the pacific area office in san francisco and winthrop W swett pacific area director of fund raising in the american red cross has three major tasks in the coming fiscal year the organization must be kept at adequate strength so that it can meet every disaster emergency whenever and wherever it arises red cross must be able to meet the needs of veterans j in the community and i in i n hoopii hospitals and the organic organization a ti oil m must s devote itself to the development of its new national blood program which will ivill eventually provide blood and its derivatives without charge for the products to anyone in the nation 11 to meet the needs of these three pro programs rams as well as other red cross community services the organization is seeking this year |
