Show Parenting class set The preschool years are the most important in a child's education, educa-tion, according to Parenting instructors in-structors at Bountiful's Lakeview Hospital. This message will be the focus of a course in parenting to begin Thursday, Sept. 25, at 7 p.m. in the hospital's first floor classroom, 630 East Medical Drive in Bountiful. The parenting class is based on the Bowdoin method, an award-winning award-winning educator's program that helps parents become teachers and children become readers. Over the course of six classes, parents will learn techniques that will bring them closer to their children and will prepare children for school. Parents interested in the course may register by calling 299-2563 (Lakeview's marketing and community com-munity relations department). Though the course is primarily for parents of pre-schoolers, grandparents and day care workers, work-ers, adults with an interest in pre-schools pre-schools are welcome to enroll. There is a $5 registration fee and participants may elect to purchase a series of workbooks which are used through the course. For information on Parenting, call 299-2563. |
