Show SUP sets Wed. meet The South Davis Chapter of the National Society of the Sons of Utah Pioneers is planning a presentation presen-tation at their monthly dinner meeting which will be held for members at the Red Flame Restaurant Res-taurant Sept. 24. Each year they plan a project to help preserve their heritage and this year Howard Stringham, chapter chap-ter president, informs the group they have had a bronze casting of the bust of the first president of the National Organization, Lawrence T. Epperson, prepared and will make the presentation to the officers offic-ers of the National Organization at that meeting. The national president, Wayne Mallett, the National presidentelect, president-elect, Wallace Bates, and National vice-president, Charles Barlow, will be present to accept the gift on behalf of the National Organiza tion. Alice Morley Bailey, who did the original sculpture in plaster will be present to see her work as it appears in bronze. An explanation of the society's freedom program will be presented by Mark Nichols, who has prepared pre-pared this program and has served in many capacities for the society, wrote many of the songs published in the National Song Book, and is a world traveler of some renown, kj |
