| Show with our men 1 in the service dear mrs ogden I 1 am receiving the record all right and enjoy all the local news immensely also the letters from the other boys in the service I 1 dont seem to be abl to run across any of the home town boys although ive been on several of the islands where some san juan boys are have just returned from a trip to sydney australia and really enjoyed getting back to civilization i never had a chance to look up ralph robson nor lyle hyde but I 1 passed near to where they are I 1 was recently given a new job as a flight chief this is quite a responsibility but there is not so much flying I 1 have received cne oak leaf cluster for my air medal and my good conduct medal we receive an air medal or the equivalent an oak balc leaf cluster for each hours of combat flying this does not count our other flying time I 1 hope all ot of you are well I 1 see that the election is helping out on your ads it would be nice to have the paper as full of ads as one or two of your issues have been tell the people at home that having everything green all the time as nice as it sounds it gets quite monotonous never having a change I 1 can just see the riot of colors on the blues each fall and it would be nice to have a little snow for a change I 1 bought a radio in australia so we get the aws regularly over the air we all feel a little closer to home since we have music and news to listen to As ever roger C R blake P S is 5 to help out on sending the paper it is worth a lot more than that |
